Title: How to start following the UPM v5 with $10,000
Post by: Super Stock Picker on April 16, 2008, 02:50:18 PM
How much would be a reasonable amount to start with? Also how many $'s/shares do you suggest to purchase with each order starting out?

If i invest in the V5 portfolio and start with 10,000.00 how many stocks should i limit to buy?

If you plan to start following the V5 portfolio with $10,000, then we suggest you use the same strategy as the one used for the virtual $5,000 portfolio (http://www.superstockpicker.com/forum/index.php?topic=183.0).

By reviewing the statistics about this portfolio (http://www.superstockpicker.com/forum/index.php?topic=28.msg361#msg361), you can expect an average number of stocks of 2.49 and a maximum of 5.

So, in the case of the V5 portfolio, you can prepare 3 lines of #each 3,333 and fill them as the orders come in.
