Suppose I have 1000 shares of a company and get 5% bonus on it that would make my holding to 1050. Where as 1000 shares could be sold in market, how to dispose off 50 shares?

There is no limit in terms of size of a lot that can be traded on the market. You can buy or sell stock in units if you like. So, there is no problem sellling the 1050 or 50 shares in your example. The only restriction I'm aware of is that the "All or nore" kind of orders are reserved to lots bigger than 100 shares. |
