What indexes do you guys use to track the various market segments?

Right now I am using $TSE, $RTCM, $RTEN, $RTRE, $DJCNGT, $DJCNVT,

  $CND, $CADOW, $TSXT.

Now I need to go to the TSX site and grab a few more sector indexes.

My wife's RRSP is going into a few mutual funds, so I want to divide the

markets into segments that at least roughly match what the mutual funds

are offered to me thru our RRSP.

  Any suggestions??

Hello DG2,

Here a result of the request on GlobeInvestors:
http://investdb.theglobeandmail.com/invest/investSQL/gx.index_grp_report?pi_index_grp=Canada+Detailed&pi_action=+Go+&pi_report_type=DETAIL

That gives 28 indexes. Do you have what you're looking into this list?

WOW, that was comprehensive and thanks, THANKS and THANX !!!
Now I will jot them down and make sure I can raise those symbols on stockcharts.

My basic issue as a technical speculator is making sure I can get good chart support like I find on S/C, and making sure I can raise the issues at hand on the symbols available, as many issues belonging on the TSX dont come up there.
Thanks for your help, and I hope we can get a lively converation going here.

Good Luck to all
